As an LPA in the supply chain procurement department my job was to be the primary contact between CAT Lafayette and several of its domestic and international suppliers.

Responsibilities:

• Managed $15m+ spending across 50+ Domestic & International Suppliers, 350+ Part Numbers for 4 production lines

• Assisted in sourcing parts from new & alternate suppliers for cost savings

• Worked with Quality, Operations & T1/T2 Suppliers on non-conforming material & PPAPs

• Directed expediting from suppliers, Tier 2s & shipping to mitigate production impact 

• Managed interplant requests, incoming shipments and late shipments

• Worked to eliminate inventory surplus and shortages

• Worked with suppliers to reduce lead times or increase output as production demands changed

•  Represented Caterpillar Lafayette on corporate control towers to determine allocation and to push suppliers to become current

I worked under two Project Engineers in the Facilities Engineering Department. We oversaw any large capital project or any smaller projects as requested by all of our plants.

Responsibilities:

• Created RFQs and Scopes for new projects

• Managed cost tracking & equipment list for the expansion of our Mexico foundry

• Managed a machine shop cell relocation from Michigan to Mexico to retain customer

• Documented in-field modifications, i.e. dimensions, models, updating general arrangements

• Assembled PLC control panel & shipped to Mexico facility

• Worked with vendors to acquire quotes & other documentation

• Created a master revision list for all facility’s general arrangements & site plans

I worked under two Mechanical Engineers & a Process Engineer in the Iron Dynamics Department.

Responsibilities:

• Managed onsite contractors, construction & maintenance

• Inspected & coordinated maintenance of critical machine parts

• Created new & modified existing 3D CAD files & drawing utilizing Solidworks

• Managed Projects

• Contacted vendors regarding pre-existing & new projects

• Managed onsite contractors working on projects

• Translated hand sketches & updated existing drawings via Auto CAD

• Problem solved & modified structural prints to solve problems that arose
